Assistant Director, Admissions Communications

Job Purpose
Towson University is accepting applications for an Assistant Director, Admissions Communications to support the enrollment goals of University Admissions by creating and executing admissions communications to include email, web, social, text, print and other digital formats.

Description
Create content for email communications and execute campaigns; work with team members to develop and manage the communication flow and new communications; and analyze results and provide recommendations for changes. Update and maintain Admissions web pages. Create a schedule of required web edits; update web content throughout the admissions cycle; and work with the Admissions and Marketing teams to improve the user experience for prospective students and family members. Gather content for social media posts and campaigns to support the communication flow and engage prospective students. Work with Admissions team members and University Marketing to create and update printed and digital recruitment materials. Manage the publication schedule; update fliers and other printed materials; and work with the team to create new materials as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year marketing and communications experience. The position requires excellent communication skills. Must pay attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills. Understanding of audiences, competition, and differentiation. Hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (preferably Salesforce), email automation software, and social media. Distilling theoretical or academic information into consumer- friendly marketing. Experience collaborating with marketing teams. Highly organized self-starter who takes ownership and requires little guidance. Commitment to quality. Positive can-do attitude, flexibility, initiative, and ability to thrive as member of team. Willingness to accept constructive criticism and direction. Strong interest and passion for higher education. The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, interested in and attentive to cross-cultural communication and someone who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment. The familiarity and use of technology is critical to the success of this position and the overall operation

Preferences:
Prior marketing and communications experience within higher education and the SalesForce CRM.
