School/Center Overview

The Division of Finance is responsible for an array of centralized financial functions of the University. Our various departments are responsible for administrative services that support financial accounting and disbursement activities, research administration, external and internal investments, cash and debt management, risk management and student registration and financial aid.


The Financial Wellness Program Manager will provide critical support in developing and implementing the new Financial [email protected] program in the Division of Finance. The manager will report jointly to the Executive Director of Student Registration and Financial Services and the Director of Communications in the Division of Finance. Work will include developing financial literacy content across multiple channels, coordinating events, recruiting and engaging with student ambassadors, and promoting the program across the University.

The Manager will conduct research and develop relevant financial wellness content to include on the Financial Wellness section of the SRFS website. This may require writing new content or compiling links to existing resources. He/she will work within DOF and with campus partners to develop Financial Wellness events, and to identify marketing and promotion opportunities to launch Financial [email protected] and continue to publicize it throughout the year. This will include generating topics, identifying presenters, outlining presentation content, developing presentation materials, and creating a master calendar of Financial Wellness events. The Manager will regularly gather data on/assess the success of events and programs, and will identify and address opportunities for growth.

The Manager will identify tailored learning opportunities for a diverse student population; will create and/or curate online and in-person educational opportunities; and will develop financial literacy training and tools for Financial Aid Counselors to use with students.

The Manager is expected to pursue financial literacy professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date on new research and best practices in education college students on these concepts.

The Manager will be the primary point of contact for current students who are interested in engaging with Financial [email protected] With input and feedback from student leaders, the Manager will conceptualize and develop a Financial Wellness Ambassador program and recruit and oversee students who will support their work in creating content, delivering in-person/online workshops, providing peer mentorships, and marketing the program through social media accounts and other channels. He/she will conceptualize and develop content for an Affordability Academy that will serve as educational outreach across the University on foundational affordability, financial aid, and financial literacy.


A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Ideally, 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in a financial wellness and student services environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Peer financial wellness counseling is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to create and organize content in an engaging way. Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to work well with a diverse community and groups with different levels of financial acumen. Multi-lingual skills are a plus. The ability to develop and maintain effective professional working relationships with individuals at all organization levels on campus is critical, along with the ability to work independently and with a team of colleagues.
