Duties

The role of the Clinical Research Coordinator-B (CRC-B) is multifaceted, complex, and variable. It requires significant dedication and resilience to combine specific regulatory knowledge with the duty to protect research subjects toward the goal of completing multiple protocols of different study designs, diverse patient populations for multiple PIs with heterogeneous research interests, and sponsors/CROs with individual process styles. This, however, is the job we are posting and we are seeking a hardy individual who can do all these things with a positive attitude and include great customer service as well. We have a diverse team and seek fully engaged individuals who enjoy the work for its own sake and can be trusted to work independently.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. This is a salaried, professional position that will be primarily stationed in the UPHS setting rather than in PSOM space. The general work week is 40 hours per week. Willingness and ability to accommodate study and Departmental/Institutional needs outside the specific 40 hour window is expected and required. We welcome individuals who have completed graduate school (Masters or PhD) who wish to transition into clinical research to apply. Fluency in both spoken and written English and at least a college level of reading proficiency in English is preferred. The optimal candidate will also have demonstrable Math skills sufficient to balance a checkbook (as a surrogate to ensure proper billing reconciliation, milestone tracking, and investigational product accountability). Compliance with UPHS vaccination and immunization policies is required. Compliance with other Departmental policies applicable to Clinical staff is required.

Affirmative Action Statement

Penn adheres to a policy that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, creed, national or ethnic origin, citizenship status, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected class.

Special Requirements Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job. Quick Link http://jobs.hr.upenn.edu/postings/45595 Posting Supplemental Questions
