Must be a flexible organized self-starter, an effective problem solver, decisive and have the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team. Managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively is essential. Must be a strong communicator both verbally and in writing, which includes the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience and intense personalities. Strong listening skills and a willingness to learn are critical. The capacity to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds is essential. The ability to work a non-standard work schedule that will include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight travel is mandatory.

Position Summary

Provides daily assistance to the Head Equestrian Coach and day-to-day operations of the Equestrian office. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the sport of Equestrian.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Documented experience in Microsoft Office programs. The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate well with the public, maintain large data sets, learn NCAA Equestrian competition management, and be creative with the many miscellaneous roles played as an important member of the Equestrian team staff.

Physical Demands

The physical demands and environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job; the employee will stand; walk; use hands to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee will sit and talk or hear, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, use close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.
