The Division of Composition, Musicology, and Theory (CMT) of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) seeks an outstanding candidate with a strong record of teaching and research for a visiting assistant professorship in musicology /ethnomusicology for the 2019-2020 academic year. All areas of specialization will be considered, but specialists in popular music, public musicology, and/or musical theater are especially encouraged to apply. The CMT Division offers a wide range of graduate and undergraduate courses, and offers required and elective courses for all students enrolled in music programs at CCM, a comprehensive conservatory for the performing and media arts. http://ccm.uc.edu/music/cmt.html

Responsibilities: Teach a 2 + 2 load of undergraduate and graduate courses in musicology/ethnomusicology, including possible supervision of graduate assistants; service responsibilities within the musicology workgroup and CMT division as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in musicology or related field (Ethnomusicology or Theory) by time of appointment; one year teaching experience at the collegiate level.

Terms of Appointment: One-year visiting assistant professorship. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Appointment Date: August 15, 2019.
