Post Doctoral FellowDivision of Cardiovascular Health and DiseaseCollege of Medicine The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease is currently accepting applications for a full time Post-Doctoral Fellow. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. Essential Function:Applies professional knowledge, skills, and training to lead an innovative and translational new project developing RNA aptamer-based therapeutics in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Tranter. This position will be responsible for experimental execution as well as data compilation, analysis, interpretation, and communication related to this project. We also expect this applicant to contribute to other projects within the lab and take a leadership role on peer-reviewed publications and presentation of results at appropriate national meetings. Successful applicant will also be given opportunities to develop their own project and encouraged to apply for independent funding. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D., required. Preferred qualifications: Molecular biology lab experience with an expertise in RNA biology preferred
