The University of Cincinnati Counseling and Psychological Services (UC-CAPS) is looking for qualified individuals to apply for Associate Director Position and join our energetic, multidisciplinary, collaborative team of mental health professionals.


Under general supervision from a designated administrator, this position manages the day-to-day administration of Counseling and Psychological Services including Training for the field of professional psychology and providing psychological services to students of the University of Cincinnati. Counseling and Psychological Services provides comprehensive clinical, consultative, emergency and case management services reflecting the needs of a diverse student body, following all relevant national association ethical standards and state and federal laws regarding service delivery, record keeping, documentation, and other professional activities.

Primary Duties:

    Responsible for the overall direction of Counseling and Psychological ServicesPrepare, submit and administer the departmental annual reports, as well as authorize andProvide supervision of the American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Internship Training ProgramEnsure counseling center staff are compliance with established clinical guidelines and standards.Provide consultation to faculty, staff, family and the university communityPosition will assist in the assessment of the mental health needs of the student population and develop clinical programs to address those needs.Provides administrative direction, clinical guidance, and consultation regarding clinical situations.Perform related duties based on departmental need
Minimum Qualifications:

    Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) from an accredited college or university.Must be licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Ohio.Experience must include five (5) years of clinical experience post degree, with two (2) years in college counseling, with demonstrated evidence of increasing supervisory and administrative responsibilities over time.
Preferred Qualifications:

    Earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program.Completed APA Accredited internship.Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity within an organization, team, and/or campus environmentKnowledge of some electronic health record programsStrong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Start Date: July 1, 2019
