The College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services (CECH), seeks an Instructor Adjuncts to teach classes in the Transition and Access Program. This position will support the University mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all other activities.
Essential Functions
Duties include teaching specialized courses designed to support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in developing executive functioning, self-determination, life skills, and other academic or social competencies. Responsibilities also include program administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field is required.
- Teaching experience in higher education and/or in secondary for students with diverse abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present material to students and community member unfamiliar with a subject.
- Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
