We invite candidates to apply for our Instructor Engineering Technology position. The Instructor will maintain continued competence in assigned and related areas and a good working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. In addition, the Instructor will assist in the college's recruitment and retention efforts and will assist with college governance by serving periodically on college committees. The Instructor will observe college rules/regulations and state guidelines appropriate to faculty responsibilities. Additionally, the Instructor will teach wherever and whenever assigned as determined by instructional needs including branch centers and dual enrollment courses in district high schools. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core values of Learning, People, Student Success, and Forward Thinking, in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field, or a minimum of an Associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant work experience in Substation / Protection and Control. Strongly prefer Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certified Production Technician certification and/or journeyman work experience in electrical utilities substation / protection and control. Ability to demonstrate the four College Service Excellence Standards of respect, competence, responsiveness and collaboration when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members.
