Job Details

Position Summary

This is a new position responsible for leading the overall data strategy for the Stern School of Business and providing strategic direction on all data administration efforts. The CAO will help build analytics capacity within the school to drive decisions with data that are critical to Sterns success and reputation. The CAO will principally work with Stern Leadership: to develop, deliver and track KPIs. S/he will collaborate with departments to develop, deliver and track KPIs, to drive necessary data consistency across functions, and to establish appropriate data pulls for cross-school use, and IT / CIO. S/he will develop data administration and governance policies. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will interface with Stern’s leadership, Vice Deans and functional leaders.

Qualifications

The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree in Information Management or Business Administration preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, including demonstrated experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications. Experience leading and coordinating activities of business and functional teams throughout the project lifecycle is also required along with prior experience in leading and implementing data management and BI initiatives.
