POSITION TITLE:CLERK, Print Services Center CFPRSV-CLRK01
STATUS:Full time
DEPARTMENT:Print Services Center
DIVISION:Administrative Services/ Business & Auxiliary Services
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
UNION: Clerical
REPORTS TO:Specialist, Print Services Center
PLACEMENT: Clerical grade 6
MINIMUM PAY RATE:$18.47 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible, through a strong sense of commitment to quality customer service, for performing a variety of routine and complex tasks related to a computerized network print center operation. Provides a variety of clerical duties and works with confidential information requiring the exercise of discretion. The incumbent is subject to operating equipment with moving parts. The incumbent is continually exposed to fumes and noise from equipment operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Copy documents and assist customers with use of copy and print/reprographic equipment; complete shrink wrapping jobs.
2.Program digitally networked machines, enter codes and log meter readings, run printers, saddle folder stitcher machine, Hydraulic cutter, Shrink wrap machine, Perforating/Scoring machine, 3 hole punch press, and related.
3.Order and maintain inventories of supplies; communicate with vendors and repair services representatives.
4.Maintain copy machines and other equipment; clear jams, lubricate, paper and staple wire; replace machine parts.
5.Prepare, calculate and process electronically and/or hard copies of work requests and estimates and personal printing request.
6.Prepare and type correspondence, documents, reports and other related materials. Update and maintain records, handbooks, databases, files and related.
7.Receive and direct visitors, handle phone calls, take and relay messages, provide requested information, prioritize and distribute mail.
8.Train and provide technical support to College personnel and student workers with the use of print/reprographic machines and equipment as required.
9.Monitor copyright provisions of materials.
10.Maintain office procedures manuals and user guides; suggest to the supervisor necessary changes.
11.Monitor Print Services Center inventory of paper stock, production printers toners (consumable) and maintain a stock of toners for all multi-function devices MFDs and vendor printers throughout the campus.
12.Provide coverage for mailroom operation during periods of staff shortages,
13.Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.High School or equivalent.
2.Two (2) years of related experience.
3.Experience operating high-end production copiers.
4.Strong personal computer skills with knowledge of several software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and , Adobe, software
5.Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; effectively and efficiently operate, repair, maintain, and service a variety of print/reprographic equipment.
6.Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a diverse population.
7.Ability to lift and maneuver objects on a regular basis with a minimum weight of 25 lbs.
8.Initiative in establishing or adapting work procedures to new situations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Experience in the community college environment.
2.Working knowledge/ experience with Ellucian Colleague software.
3.Demonstrated expertise utilizing publishing and graphic design software.
4.Experience with Papercut print manager software,

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch; frequently required to walk; occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch. The position requires repetitive lifting and bending. The employee must regularly lift and/or maneuver objects on a regular basis with a minimum weight of 25 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
2.Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision and close vision.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles (dust or toner) and is required to work near moving mechanical parts.
2.The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
