The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual for our Events and Programs Operations Specialist position. This position executes operations related to educational programs delivered on campus and blended formats. S/he supports business processes, vendors, and execution of online capture and on-campus events. The Events and Programs Operations Specialists primary goal is to ensure satisfaction for Stanford students, faculty and attendees for each program. During live and virtual events, the Events and Programs Operations Specialist will make decisions in the best interest of the program, the attendees, and the University. S/he will be the contact with Stanford faculty, departments, partner organizations (both domestic and international), instructors, and be the primary contact for vendors and service providers.

Due to the global and customer-facing nature of work, this position is often required to work sporadic schedules including early mornings, evenings and weekends. JOB PURPOSE:

Under minimal supervision, assist with the development, delivery, sales and marketing of programs or products created by the organization. Responsible for delivering the product/program within scope, on time, and within budget.

CORE DUTIES*:
  • Execute product/ program plan definition, and detailed rollout schedule, including collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop and execute a marketing plan, assessing, and revising as necessary to meet goals.
  • Implement conversion strategy to meet product/program goals.
  • Deliver an experience that leads to high customer satisfaction and advocacy for the program.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations regarding the direction of the program or product.
  • Actively participates in efforts to improve processes, programs and business across the department.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants on specific programs.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education & Experience:

    Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with managing products/programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of various marketing elements (e.g. pricing, audience, channels, communication).
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the target audience lifecycle and ability to convert leads into new business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
  • Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
  • Rarely sort/file paperwork.
