ASU-Beebe at the Searcy campus is seeking a part-time instructor for the Adult Education program. The part-time position is designed to assist adult learners who wish to strengthen their reading, mathematics, and language skills in order to obtain a GED or for future educational and employment purposes. It is preferred that the instructor have some knowledge of how to administer the Test of Adult Basic Education, interpret scores from Adult Education evaluations and assign students to appropriate types of work using materials in the classroom. The instructor will assist in developing program curriculum as well as work with Adult Basic Education students to set up individualized study plans, including short-term and long-term goals for the student. The instructor must be able to counsel with students regarding educational options and employment opportunities. The instructor must be proficient in standard computer programs. The instructor is expected to help students reach higher educational functioning levels between pre-test and post-test periods.
This position will be teaching on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the possibility of some day time hours.

Salary $23.50/hour Required Qualifications

Applicants must have a valid Arkansas teaching license in any subject area.
