Clinical Placement Coordinator, Nursing
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Lewis University, invites applications for the full-time, Clinical Placement Coordinator to be responsible for graduate students’ clinical practicum placements. This position will facilitate graduate students clinical placements and maintain the database. The position will also include acquisition and maintenance of practice sites and preceptors for the graduate nursing programs (all tracks).
The primary responsibilities include: Collaborate with Track Coordinators to actively identify new practicum sites and preceptors; Collaborate with Track Coordinators to actively visit, establish and maintain working relationships with personnel in practice settings, facilitate communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, attend meetings held by practice settings; Collaborate with Track Coordinators and practicum faculty to proactively coordinate projected graduate student practicum placements; Coordinate and assign placements for practicum experiences across graduate programs, and maintain an effective time-line for ensuring placements; Represent the University effectively in the role of liaison between the graduate nursing program and the practice settings.

Bachelor’s degree required. Able to communicate effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, other computer applications, and data retrieval from the university data management system. Willing to adapt to changes in programs and to learn and use new software. Able to take initiative and see projects through without direct supervision.
