The Office of Marketing and Communications at the University of Bridgeport seeks a talented, versatile, and experienced Videographer / Photographer. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can creatively render the University’s amazing story through the production of stills and video content. Must possess both the technical acumen (strong editing skills) and keen ability to tell a story that moves an audience to action.
Reporting to the Vice President for Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will be highly collaborative, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess a sense of intellectual curiosity. Requires the ability to artistically convey compelling messages (including complex information) to both internal and external audiences.
Primary duties include producing quality video and images for publications, website, advertising, and other promotional material.
Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro as well as Photoshop. Motion graphics experience a plus as well as experience with a digital asset management system. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of experience in a corporate branding, television news, or non-profit setting. Approximately 25 percent of daily work will consist of photo assignments.
