Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated, professional and experienced individual who will coordinate effective communication strategies about the Center’s clinical and research goals to the community and key stakeholders. Major job responsibilities of this Program Coordinator position include: community outreach, educational activities; research recruitment and retention activities; administrative and technical support, and opportunities for professional development. This individual will coordinate the execution of a strategic community engagement and enrollment plan, experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, be familiar with local public and private aging services and healthcare providers, have excellent community relations skills, and be an effective ambassador/liaison for Sanders-Brown within the university and in the community.

Research
In fiscal year 2016, the University of Kentucky was awarded $316.5 million in external grants and contracts. UK is one of only eight universities across the country with the full range of undergraduate, graduate, professional and medical programs on one contiguous campus, leading to groundbreaking discoveries and unique cross-disciplinary research and scholarship. Moreover, UK is currently one of only 22 public institutions with a trifecta of federal designations of excellence in research: for aging, in cancer and in translational science.
