The Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full-time, one-year Lecturer of Spanish, with an anticipated start date of August 25, 2019.

We seek a strong language instructor to teach three courses in the fall 2019 and three courses in the spring 2020.  Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to, teaching language and culture undergraduate courses in Spanish.  An M.A. in Spanish or Applied Linguistics (with a focus on Spanish) at the time of application is required.  Candidates must also have a strong commitment to teaching. A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the college or university level in the U.S. is required. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish is also required.
