Adjunct faculty - Humanities
Adjunct faculty are part-time (classroom or on-line) faculty hired to teach on a semester basis. Currently seeking adjuncts to teach day hours at the Harrisburg Campus, and could potentially expand to other campuses.
HUM 201: World Mythology: This course is very unique because we investigate mythology from across the globe. We include units on Creation myths, Hero Myths, Fertility (seasonal) myths, Folklore and Ritual. A Masters Degree in Humanities, Literature, Anthropology or a related field is required. Evidence of knowledge of a variety of significant world myths from, for example, India, Africa, Mesopotamia, Native America, and Norway is important. Coursework in mythology or folklore is required, and courses in World cultures and religions are helpful. World literature classes are also beneficial.
Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned classes. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction.
Adjunct faculty must develop instructional methods for their assigned course(s). The instructional methods must pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description.Minimum Qualifications
