Provides support and services to optimize the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning software. Analyzes needs of system users and develops and implements technology solutions to support various departments and business requirements. Collaborates with IT and other departments to improve processes and develop reports. Designs and implements test plans and procedures to ensure quality and effectiveness of applications.

Essential Job Functions

Develops, enhances and sustains procedures, processes and systems, including checklists and forms.

Provides support to systems and end users
Read and write PL/SQL programming language.

Job Specific Task List

1. Serve as the primary point-of-contact for technology initiatives supporting the Workforce Development and Academic Advising Areas.
2. Serve as the technology support leader for the design, development, training, and implementation of computer software reports and processes. Elicit and document business requirements from users and other stakeholders.
3. Responsible for ensuring documentation of Workforce and Academic Advising IT systems is adequate, appropriate, and available to stakeholders, and meets requirements.
4. Coordinate and manage the prioritization of the Workforce Development and Academic Advising Information Technology projects as related to Banner, Argos, and other systems.
5. Support the effective use and integration of systems including, but not limited to Navigate, Banner, and Argos.
6. Work independently and in collaboration with end users and IT to solve technical problems, analyze computer support system needs, and meet processing and reporting requirements. Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
7. Coordinate installation, testing, and implementation of software upgrades. Responsible for testing and ensuring adherence to documentation standards and notification to functional staff of software changes and upgrades.
8. Create standard and complex queries against Oracle database.
9. Coordinate Workforce Development Area’s web content management.
10. Coordinate and train Workforce Development Area staff in the use of technology systems, resources, and tools.
11. Liaison with Central Information Technology Area; providing direct support to Workforce Development and Academic Advising and be the conduit for escalation of technical system service requests.
12. Communicate with counterparts in Information Technology Industry to investigate unique applications and solutions relating to Banner and other technology systems. User groups include PA-Banner User Groups (PA BUG) and Ellucian (Banner) eCommunities.
13. Maintain familiarity with industry terminology, processes, procedures, and workflow.
14. Write programs using PL/SQL programming language to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
15. Perform troubleshooting and assist with maintaining data integrity. Perform general maintenance of programming code. Research new technologies.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in a related field. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
