The Department of Communication at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) occasionally has the need to hire One-Year Lecturer to teach in its Bachelor’s program. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction in the program, and participating in scholarship activities serving the college, university or local community as needed. The department is seeking a lecturer able to teach applied courses in video and audio production.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned Masters in Mass Communication or a related field on or before September 1, 2019 from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in Communication.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

Knowledge of editing software is essential.

Preferred Qualification

Experience teaching and/or in broadcasting preferred. Preference given to those who can speak Spanish as well as English
