Auditing Analyst Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201905312621 75% Part Time 8AM - 5PM $48,800 - $84,350 Position Information The Auditing Analyst will contribute to our growth and success in meeting our mission by reviewing, analyzing and auditing processes and transactions in the school of medicine contracts and grants department. Will conduct regular compliance audits to identify and correct any incorrect transactions. Will collect data to establish trends for process improvement and educational opportunities. Utilizing a variety of reporting tools and exercising professional judgment, the position will collect, compile, synthesize data; perform analysis with respect to data quality; and seek to enhance the functionality of the reporting systems. The budgeted hiring range for this position is up to $72,500. This is a 75% position, working four days per week. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Conditions Condition Requirement Six years of relative experience can substitute for the degree requirement. Required Experience Experience Requirement 2 - 4 years of related experience. Required Demonstrated experience of performing analysis and providing suggestions to solve complex problems; develop recommendations independently for process improvements for operations. Preferred Experience utilizing an electronic auditing software. Preferred Experience with University of California budget/financial account structure, financial and payroll systems, processes, documents and systems. Knowledge of UCR administrative, financial, and budgetary policies and procedures. Required Experience with academic and/or healthcare grants and contracts processes and regulations. Required

Minimum Requirements Skills to gather, organize, and complete analysis for intermediate audit assignments.
Intermediate knowledge of the audit function and audit assignments.
Gathers, organizes and performs analysis for moderately complex audit assignments.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills to present sensitive information with diplomacy and in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely and accurate manner under deadline pressures, interruptions, and competing priorities and requirements.
Skill in researching and analyzing information, problems, practices or procedures to define problems or objectives, identify solutions, and independently act on resolution.
Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining collegial and effective working relationships. Excellent written and verbal skills. Demonstrated ability and skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical and narrative reports.
Proficiency using personal computer applications including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and database.
Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of auditing principles, procedures, and standards.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the seven essential elements of an effective compliance program.
