The Student Conduct Coordinator (“SCC”) for the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (“OSCCR”) serves as a conduct administrator for all levels of student conduct cases. Additionally, as with all OSCCR team members, the SCC supports Residence Life and other campus partners, coordinates and facilitates conflict resolution services, and assists in ensuring compliance with legal regulations and adherence to mission-driven best practices in the field of student conduct administration. The SCC in particular leads the training and development of several other conduct administrators within the University conduct system, and serves as liaison between the OSCCR and critical campus partners.

•CONDUCT ADMINISTRATION: Serve as conduct administrator, investigating and adjudicating allegations of all levels of student misconduct occurring on- or off-campus.
•CONFLICT RESOLUTION: Provide conflict resolution services for students, and assist with student advocacy and problem solving as assigned.
•TRAINING: Lead the training and development of approximately 30 other conduct administrators within the University Student Conduct System, including partners in Residence Life, Student Activities & Greek Affairs, Arrupe College, and the John Felice Rome Center and student leadership positions within OSCCR.
•OUTREACH: Together with the Assistant Director, serve as liaison between the OSCCR, Residence Life, and other campus partners for all concerns and collaborative efforts between the departments.
•CONSULTATION: In collaboration with the Assistant Director, provide guidance and direction for conduct processes for Residence Life, Student Activities & Greek Affairs, Arrupe College, and the University’s study abroad programs.
•REPORTING: Under direction of the Assistant Director, assist staff in analyzing trends for assessment and tracking purposes, as well as compliance with Jeanne Clery Act, Title IX, and related laws.
•OVERSIGHT: Contribute to the oversight of Maxient (student conduct database used by the OSCCR).
•SANCTIONING: Provide oversight for a comprehensive menu of educational resources for students and manage the completion processes for assigned outcomes.
•SUPERVISION: Supervise part-time student assistants (federal work study).
•OVERSIGHT: Manage the OSCCR’s website and social media presence.
•OVERSIGHT: Oversee the response to requests regarding student disciplinary records and background investigations.
•COMPLIANCE: Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the University Student Conduct System, including those of the Office of Civil Rights, Department of Education, and Department of Justice.
•ASSESSMENT: Assist in coordination of the OSCCR assessment plan, incorporating departmental, divisional, and University outcomes, and reporting data as assigned.
•AUXILIARY: Represent the OSCCR on divisional and interdepartmental committees and task forces, as assigned.
•OTHER: Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Master’s degree in higher education or related field; demonstrated experience in student conduct or related functional area, and experience with conduct boards.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in student affairs, student personnel, higher education, or other related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years in student conduct, conflict resolution, or related field.
- 40-hour mediation training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Position demands exemplary communication and interpersonal skills in support of students and their developmental needs.
- Ability to focus attention on serving Loyola students, parents, and other stakeholders, handling all student issues with confidentiality, empathy, and sensitivity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with institutional partners, represent the OSCCR in critical discussions, and communicate and model Jesuit values and ideals.
- Must embrace a dynamic and unpredictable daily schedule, take initiative on new projects, demonstrate a commitment to cultural competence, and uphold a high standard for personal integrity.

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses

- Master’s degree in student affairs, student personnel, higher education, or other related field.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and use of the internet. A familiarity with the student conduct database software (Maxient), is helpful but not necessary.
