Ast Vice Chancellor, Process Improvement & Business Transformation

With minimal direction from the CFO - Vice Chancellor Finance and Administration, the incumbent provides the highest-level analysis and support to the planning and management of the campus budget, financial and accounting processes. The incumbent provides wide-ranging analysis, policy interpretation, evaluation and recommendations of diverse budget functions, including: capital accounts, investment strategies, enrollment management, debt management, reserve funds, budget development, financial strategy, financial/administration systems, internal financial controls, indirect cost expenses, cost of leased space, and financial and budget reporting. The incumbent provides wide-ranging analysis, policy interpretation, evaluation and recommendations of diverse accounting practices including accounts payable processes and procedures, reviewing advance accounting reports, journal entries, ledger reconciliation, sales and tax liability accounts and reconciliations, account and systems controls, and fiscal closing processes.

The incumbent will independently perform significant complex evaluation and technical analyses, considering many variables and methodologies requiring extensive knowledge of operational practices in accounting, finance, budgeting, internal controls and investment principles. The incumbent will develop and recommend budget/financial and accounting reporting models and implementation processes that enhance financial results.

At the direction of the CFO/Vice Chancellor, the incumbent consults and collaborates with staff, administration, UCI departments/divisions/schools, university partners, medical center, other campuses, Office of the President, and external constituents. This position works closely with and collaborates with the Executive Director of Budget Operations and the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Accounting & Fiscal Services.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Contract Position.
Must have a valid CA Driver's license and participate in the DMV Pull notice program
