Description:

The Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at The University of Texas at Austin is accepting applications from qualified individuals for a part-time, Assistant Professor of Practice position. Successful candidates for this non-tenure track position will have the appropriate academic and practical preparation to teach across disciplines in Martial Arts. Applicants are required to have a Black Belt and should be able to teach Karate/Tae Kwon Do, Beginning Judo and Beginning Hapkido/Self Defense. Responsibilities may also include the supervision of Teaching Assistants and/or student aides.

Qualifications:

A master's degree is preferred but an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience maybe substituted as appropriate. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a student-centered approach to teaching undergraduate courses. Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise teaching across disciplines and to a diverse set of individuals at the beginning and the more experienced levels.
