Job Summary/Basic Function:
The successful candidate will serve as a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management's (CLSCM) Austin, Texas office.

Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must currently possess a Master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering (with a transportation specialization), Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Economic Geography, or a closely related discipline. The candidate must also have at least three to five years of full-time, professional experience as a researcher or have been employed in a related industry, such as engineering or management consulting. This position requires the candidate maintain a full- time, physical presence at the Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management's (CLSCM) Austin, Texas office.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering (with a transportation specialization), Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Economic Geography, or a closely related discipline. Substantive experience using one or more of the following software packages: InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Access, TransCAD, ArcGIS, ArcGIS City Engine, SAS, SPSS, or similar programs. Direct or relatable experience working locally and long-distance with a multidisciplinary team, which may include faculty, research staff, students, administrative staff, contractors, and consultants. The preferred candidate should demonstrate strong technical knowledge and skills that are directly relatable to the center's work, by providing examples of previous contributions to research or consulting projects in freight transportation planning and policy, logistics, operations, economic impact analysis, or other related areas. Candidate should have the ability to write and orally communicate appropriately, effectively, and efficiently. The preferred candidate will have experience or be willing to constructively engage community and business leaders, as well as elected officials, to support the work of CLSCM's project sponsors. Candidate should have experience or be willing to assist CLSCM's faculty and senior researchers with the preparation of proposals for new funding pursuits.
