Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary, however the employee will be required to move about the college.

Duties of Position:

Responsible for assisting the Entrepreneurship and Marketing Program by helping with organizing and marketing business and entrepreneurship events. The assistant will also help to organize and staff the new Makerspace and Entrepreneur Center for entrepreneurship students, and community members.

Assists the business faculty coordinator and Entrepreneur Center General Manager on projects and activities that involve the business and entrepreneurship program as well as the new Makerspace and Entrepreneur Center.

Assists in planning of entrepreneurship outreach activities.

Assists in the development of programs for the Entrepreneurship Center.

Assists in marketing Entrepreneur Center programs and activities.

Assists in creating marketing content for online and social media to promote the Makerspace and Entrepreneur Center.

Works the front desk for the Entrepreneurship Student Center.

Creates and types memos, reports, schedules, and marketing materials as needed.

Greets visitors, answers telephones, takes and distributes messages.

Provides general information regarding the business programs and Entrepreneurship Center to students and community members, both on the telephone and in-person.

Assists the Dean, business faculty coordinator, and General Manager of the Entrepreneur Center with projects as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Educational Requirements: High school graduate and current business college student or Associate Degree in Business or Marketing.

Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year office experience required. Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees, students and instructors; good oral communication skills; ability to work under supervision; ability to provide accurate work on a timely basis; and the ability to perform required duties with initiative; good judgment, accuracy, persistence, integrity, dependability, tact and courtesy. Working knowledge of Microsoft office software required. Marketing experience preferred.
