Doctorate in nursing from an accredited college or university, confirmed by an official transcript from the degree granting institution.

Required Related Experience

•Demonstrated ability to effective didactic and clinical teaching in medical-surgical, with expertise in gerontological nursing
•Demonstrated ability for development and coordination of global health clinical experiences for nursing students
•Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor undergraduate students in geriatric and community-global health
•Demonstrated ability for professional development/engagement and leadership

Required License/Registration/Certification

The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky.

Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites qualified applicants for this full-time (10-month) non tenure-track position with primary teaching responsibilities in the Undergraduate Program. This position requires an individual to teach in clinical medical/surgical nursing courses, while serving as a faculty lead to develop, develop, integrate and teach geriatric health and relevant clinical experiences across the curriculum. We are also seeking a candidate with experience to further expand global health clinical and service learning opportunities across the curriculum.

The candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, practice and service. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Research

    In fiscal year 2016, the University of Kentucky was awarded $316.5 million in external grants and contracts.
