Library open hours are Mon-Thu 7a-12a, Fri 7a-8p, Sat 9a-8p, Sun 12-10p.
May include an occasional evening and/or weekend shifts.
Flexible hours, will work with student’s availability.

Specific DutiesSorting and shelving library materials and performing other tasks as assigned. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
>Learn call-numbering system (training provided)
>Retrieving, returning, and straightening books on the shelves
>Keeping library materials in call number order
>Process incoming/outgoing books
>Assist patrons over phone & in person
>Other duties as directed
>Customer service-oriented
>Responsible/Reliable
>Detail-oriented
>Willing to work in a quiet environment
>Has good command of English (verbal & written)
>Able to lift/push 50 lbs
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
