Working Title Program Coordinator - Diversity & Inclusion

Job Summary

Eastern Washington University is currently seeking applicants for a 75%, 10 month Program Coordinator with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. The candidate will need exceptional organization and event planning skills. A passion for Diversity Outreach and Programming Initiatives both on and off campus is a must. This position will also need experience in tracking projects, Microsoft Office and knowledge of general office procedures. Conditions of Employment

Required Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the program specialty, defined as experience-coordinating diversity programs involving students, faculty, staff and or community members.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience will substitute for the program specialty requirement.
  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years experience in higher education
  • Demonstrated expertise in the coordination and implementation of programs or events.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with diverse programs and understanding of underrepresented populations
