The Advancement Services Liaison will be an innovative relationship manager in fundraising who will take primary responsibility for accurately maintaining the departments CRM system, business operations, and analysis of data for the Office of Institutional Advancement. Additionally, the Advancement Services Liaison will actively solicit granters and other assigned funding sources for revenue contributions towards the goals of Institutional Advancement and the GSU Foundation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

30%Utilize Donor Software to process all gifts made to GSU Foundation and implement an impeccable donor acknowledgement process consistent with advancement department policies and procedures, develop reports and prepare data analysis for the overall office of Institutional Advancement, as well as on donor prospects using various tools and methodologies. Make recommendations for ways to best capture information so it can be efficiently and effectively reported out of the database system and internal and external audits.

25%Assist in the movement of the prospect pool with gift officers, conduct prospect research using subscription and free information sources. Prospects include individuals, corporations and foundations.

20%Revenue generation: research, write, and submit nongovernmental grants for institutional revenue generation or expense deferment. Co-lead Campus Community Campaign (Revenue Goals will increase annually).

10%Manage the production of scheduled reports, including weekly and monthly reports for the Vice President to ensure goals are being met or corrections are being made toward the achievement of goals. Manage list pulls, both scheduled and on demand, including gift list, constituent lists and appeals and fund lists.

10% Provide professional support to the staff in implementing financial processes, special events, prospect management, donor recognition, donor stewardship and other related activities including development and foundation research, database management, donor history and financial reports.

5%All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

One or an acceptable combination of:

a) Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with a major in Public Relations, Communications, Computer Science, Nonprofit Management, or Marketing. (Please attach a copy of the earned college/university transcripts).

AND

one year of professional fundraising work experience with responsibility for developing and implementing fundraising campaigns

OR

b) Four years of professional fundraising work experience with responsibility for developing and implementing fundraising campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Fundraising Software programs and constituent relationship management systems, such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, and other donor/client software.

Experience and knowledge of donor cycle and demonstrated direct participation in fundraising results.

Exceptional time management, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work with diverse individuals in a culturally competent manner.

Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Experience with systems, design, and processing of business data and MS Office suite.

Familiarity with Advancement operations and fundraising.
