Duties

Provides overall daily management of the research program – Healthy Pattern Sleep Study in Person’s with Dementia. The project manager in collaboration with the Principal Investigator monitors all aspects of the program; manages budget; supervises staff. Oversees and coordinates subject recruitment and screening; obtains informed consent; conducts interviews and follow-up as needed. Coordinates and conducts data collection, quality control and compliance in keeping with study protocols. Conducts analyses and manages data for the research program. Prepares reports and makes presentations on study results; drafts articles for publication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in psychology, nursing or health related field with minimum 3 years – 5 years work experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience. MS preferred. Solid research project management experience needed; prior pilot study experienced desired along with a background involving communication with older adults with memory impairment preferred. An in-depth knowledge of research design and the grant proposal process required. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels in a fast paced environment using sound judgment and organizational savvy. The successful candidate will possess initiative and a results orientation. Must be a collaborative team player with the ability to work both independently and as part of a research team. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Prior budget and expense management experience needed; knowledge of Penn financial systems, i.e., Concur preferred. Strong PC related skills in MS Office and related database management; prior RedCap experience required. Prior supervisory experience desired. Experience conducting home visits with individuals with cognitive impairment required.

Position is contingent on continued funding.
