Job SummaryAnalyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.Job Responsibilities01. Aides in the application of principles of accounting and, with experience, may handle complex tasks., 02. Utilizes knowledge of accounting principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations to compile and keep financial records., 03. Finalizes accounting reports., 04. Studies and analyzes accounting records for purposes of preparing statements and reports., 05. Includes such activities as keeping and verifying records of transactions; receiving and disbursing money; computing and verifying amounts; preparing records; combining data and performing computations to create statistical records; and computing costs, verifying bills, invoices, rates, etc., 06. Performs other duites as assigned.Job Details
MUST BE ON CAMPUS DURING SUMMER AND CHRISTMAS BREAKS.
Update prices on Food Services database
Manage incoming invoices and making sure all invoices are paid in a timely manner as accounts payable duties.
Prepare all Food Service inter-departmental food transfer reports.
Prepare Bookstore retail beverage transfer report weekly.
Prepare weekly Vending report.
Prepare Journal Entries as needed.
Prepare Food & Wage weekly report.
Reconcile Credit Card statements from Financial Services.
Count money; Prepare daily deposit form and deposit money.
Maintain Food Service student employment files up-to-dated.
Making sure all procedures are up-to-dated.
Fulfill clerical duties and other duties as specified including Work orders, fax, answer the phone, customer services at the door, etc
Qualifications and Experience
Should know Excel intermediate level
Must be able to work well with others, even during stressful situations; must have good personal hygiene
A background in accounting is preferred
Should know how to use a 10 key machine
Must be resourceful and comprehend Food Services operations; be organized and orderly; able to work well with management, full time and student employees
Must have strong customer service and personal skills; must be a self-starter; exhibit initiative; must have strong organizational skills and has the ability to think and reason clearly and quickly during stressful situations; must be able to multi task; must be able to write orders and email correspondence
Must be reliable and proactive, PUNCTUAL and trustworthy
Must be able to read, speak and write English well
Must be a quick learner and follow work schedule from supervisor.
Be in physically and mentally good health
Able to follow all office rules and commit to work at least one year
