Princeton University. The Department of East Asian Studies invites applications for full- or part-time Chinese language lecturer positions that may become available beginning September 1, 2019 or February 1, 2020. Possibility of renewal is contingent upon satisfactory performance and sufficient course enrollments. We seek candidates with a minimum requirement of a Master's degree in disciplines such as Chinese linguistics, Chinese language pedagogy, Chinese history, Chinese literature, or related fields. Ph.D. is preferred. Applications must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching interest, contact information for at least three references, and candidates must provide a web link to a 30-50 minute video of the candidate's Chinese language teaching. Submission of a writing sample is optional (e.g., publications in Chinese or English, a dissertation chapter). Reference letters will be requested after a telephone interview. In-person interviews will be held at the ACTFL Convention in New Orleans in November. Review of applications will begin immediately and will be conducted until the position is filled.
