The Office Manager is responsible for maintaining a smooth-running office operation for the Campus Life department. This includes hiring, training, supervising and evaluation (4-7) student office assistants who are responsible for answering phones, assisting in processing new student employees, copying, word processing, and completing tasks as assigned by the Office Manager. The Office Manager is responsible for scheduling meetings, managing project tasks as assigned, and managing files for the Executive Director directly and others in the department as needed.

In addition, this position administers and coordinates a variety of business and/or fiscal functions for Campus Life. This position processes U-shop purchases, receipting, invoicing, check requests and deposits; reconciles event revenue as needed; direct bills money via rule codes; cash management; processing and reconciling external bills; and, processes and tracks contracts.

Additionally, this position processes and reconciles staff travel and is the travel card administrator; does the on-boarding, exiting, and payroll for student staff positions, and is the designated key controller for Campus Life. This position manages the van/golf-cart coordination and is also the timekeeper for Campus Life professional staff.

N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience with:

Business and records administration

Financial management

Information processing



Supervision of student staff

Preferred education, professional skills and experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
