Position Summary:

Lead and direct personnel for cleanup and custodial work before, during, and after events.Responsible for facilities work that includes all Division of Intercollegiate Athletic buildings and grounds (Camp Randall, McClain Center, Fieldhouse, McClimon Track/Soccer Complex, Goodman Diamond, Kohl Center, Porter Boat House, U-Ridge golf (and recreational facilities and practice fields). Duties include the maintenance, repair and care of locker rooms, restrooms, offices, bleachers, fencing, care and maintenance of turf, preparation of practice and competition fields, setup and takedown for events, touch up painting equipment, railings, and other building accessories, etc. Additional maintenance duties include patching and painting of walls, repair of flooring surfaces, moving furniture and other items, assisting crews for the repair and construction of bleachers, restrooms and concession areas, and working the facilities for football, basketball, volleyball, hockey games and other events. Snow removal duties required as needed.

In achievement and prestige, the University of Wisconsin–Madison has long been recognized as one of America's great universities. In 1848, Nelson Dewey, Wisconsin’s first governor, signed the act that formally created the university, and its first class, with 17 students, met in a Madison school building on February 5, 1849.
