We invite candidates to apply for our Instructor Biological Science position. The Instructor will maintain a continued competence in assigned and related areas. Maintain a good working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. In addition, the Instructor will assist in the college's recruitment and retention efforts. The Instructor will assist with college governance by serving periodically on college committees and will observe college rules/regulations and state guidelines appropriate to faculty responsibilities. Additionally, the Instructor will teach wherever and whenever assigned as determined by instructional needs including branch centers and dual enrollment courses in district high schools. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline. Demonstrated excellence in academic preparation and teaching laboratories in anatomy and physiology required, preferred in microbiology. Ability to demonstrate the four College Service Excellence Standards of respect, competence, responsiveness and collaboration when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members.
