Description 

Under general supervision of the College of Science and Technology’s Department Chair of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS), the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all aspects of graduate education for the department. Evaluates transfer courses to determine Temple’s equivalency and keeps up-to-date lists of transfer equivalencies. Assists in the development and maintenance of articulation agreements with other institutions. Updates course and curriculum information for University Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletin. Interfaces between CIS division, CST, and University advising units. Prepares graduation worksheets for CIS Masters of Science, PhD students and graduation curriculum reviews. Works with PhD students on preparing materials for their preliminary exams and dissertation defense. Tracks independent study and project coursework and grades. Prepares and manages tuition remission forms and hiring forms for teaching and Research Assistants. Manages graduate student applications and maintains graduate admission files. Accesses student and class information for faculty. Coordinates information sessions for prospective graduate students. Performs other duties as assigned.

 Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least one year of directly related experience. Demonstrated experience working with graduate and undergraduate curriculums. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities:
*Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staff and students.
*Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
*Must be detail-oriented.
*Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred:
*Experience using a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system for processing applications.
*Experience in higher education.
