This position supervises staff (RNs, LVNs and Medical Assistants) in multiple outpatient oncology clinics to ensure delivery of optimal care in compliance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives. This position will report to the Ambulatory Care Patient Manager (Nurse Manager, Multi-Specialty Clinic). This position also will provide and supervise clinical care at the expert level, ensuring patient safety and regulatory readiness. This position will provide staff development, coaching and performance management, recruiting and retention and lead or participate in performance improvement initiatives, under the oversight of the Nurse Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum of five or more years of relevant experience.
Minimum one year working in a charge, supervisory or management level position in an outpatient oncology environment.
Demonstrated oncology experience within the last three years.
- A Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related area.
- ACLS and/or UCSD ART certification.
- OCN or must obtain within one year of hire.
- Experience supervising in a large clinic and/or multi-specialty oncology environment.
Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
