Residence Life CoordinatorCenter for Academic Equity

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

The Residence Life Coordinator works in coordination with the Summer Experience Director and Logistics Coordinator, supervises one to three Peer Mentors, performs administrative tasks related to assessment, and creates cocurricular and social programs to support the mission of the Summer Experience.  The Residence Life Coordinator is a key staff member who works to foster community conducive to student success by providing academic support, programming, leading discussions about diversity and inclusion, encouraging positive behaviors and addressing behaviors that are detrimental to the individual and/or community.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrollment in or a recent graduate of a master's or Ph.D. program
  • One year of experience working with underrepresented students

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic background in student affairs, sociology, social work, psychology or related fields
