JOB SUMMARY:

Manages the monthly budget status reports and prepares financial reports for planning purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

30% - Essential - Budget Reporting and Monitoring:
Oversee new budget reporting process that integrates monthly budget information with interactive dashboard.
Assist with development of annual budget.

30% - Essential - Financial Analysis:
Analyze monthly revenue and expenditures vs. department budget
Assist with preparation of year end projection forecasts.
Customize reports for financial planning/budget strategy purposes.

15% - Essential - Transaction processing:
Cash deposits - prepare daily vouchers for cash collections. Ensure that proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
Reconcile P-card transactions - Match receipts to p-card statements to ensure that transactions are valid charges. Enter correct department, project grant, and expenditure account codes for each transaction.

15% - Essential - Oversee Athletics Business Office intern to insure completion of:
Inventory account showing inventory that has been acquired and marked for reference in the future.
Aviations file showing usage and charges for Clemson University planes.
Telecommunications file showing departmental charges.

10% - Essential - Special Projects:
Assist other Business Office personnel with various projects including, but not limited to assisting with revamping department policies, compiling market data to assist with decisions, and other projects to improve the efficiency of the Business Office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.

Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.

Education - Bachelor's Degree - Concentration on Business/Accounting.

Licenses & Certifications: MBA or CPA
