Job Title Skills for Daily Living Service Aide- Common Grounds Coffee Shop (part-time, 15 hours) Reports To and Evaluated by Director of Continuing, Corporate and Community Education Required Qualifications

The candidate must have a HS diploma or its equivalent, with average clerical and computer skills. Must be dependable, flexible, detail oriented, possess good money skills and good judgement. Desire to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required.

Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.

Preferred Qualifications

English/Spanish bilingual. Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Job Summary

Service Aide will assist students in the Skills for Daily Living Program with the day to day operation of Common Grounds Snack Shop. Duties include, but are not limited to, setting up the cash register for the day, accounting for all money upon closing for the day and securing such. Supervising and assisting student helpers with sales, cleaning and maintenance of Common Grounds Area, as well as ordering supplies when needed. On days when Common Grounds is not open, Service Aide will assist Community/ Adult Ed department to assist with office tasks.

Specific Job Duties

•Supervise student helpers
•Set up and secure monies for the day
•Keep food inventory up to date
•Ensure proper operation of Common Grounds snack shop
•Assist department staff as needed
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
