Primary duty is analyzing video data from game cameras set at feral hog carcasses. Video analysis includes the interpretation and logging of mammalian and avian scavenger behavior via the computer program BORIS. The data resultant of this analysis will be used for a research project examining scavenger behaviors at carcasses, with particular interest in the interactions that occur at carrion deposits. This project seeks an understanding of the complexities of food web ecology and the factors influencing the scavenger community of the Davis Mountains, Texas.Other Information
Part-time position for video analyst studying scavenger behavior. Will work for approximately 6 weeks at 20 hours per week, with the possibility of continuing through August. This person will be working with graduate student Michael Stangl.
