The Director of Articulation and Academic Pathways provides college-wide leadership and administrative oversight of all articulation and transfer activities, including but not limited to: dual enrollment articulation agreements, postsecondary articulation agreements, prior learning assessment, transfer protocols and alternative academic pathways. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

    Directs and manages articulation and academic pathways programs and services that effectively and efficiently facilitate seamless academic progression and transitionDevelops and implements articulation and academic pathways policies, procedures and guidelines that support the goals of Miami Dade College (MDC)Develops and delivers training and professional development on articulation and alternate academic pathways Serves as the primary liaison with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) for negotiation of the dual enrollment articulation agreement and other collaboration opportunities.Serves as a primary liaison among local, regional, national and international post-secondary institutions Plans and implements outreach and marketing activities to increase public awareness about articulation and academic pathwaysConducts ongoing monitoring and evaluation of program agreements, activities and services to ensure the academic quality and integrity is maintainedSupervises program coordinator(s)

  • Master's degree in an academic discipline and four (4) years of administrative experience in higher education or a related field, evidence of leadership and creative accomplishment in working with policies and procedures related to articulation and academic pathways
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresKnowledge of practices and procedures for articulation and academic pathwaysDemonstrated leadership and creative accomplishments in establishing new programsAbility to consider the impact of policies and procedures on students, faculty and administrationPossess effective organizational and time management skillsPossess outstanding oral and written communication skillsPossess excellent customer service and interpersonal skillsPossess strong decision-making, problem solving, and research skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple competing prioritiesFamiliarity with higher education policies and practices, including regional and national accreditation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff
