  • Position Description

    The Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle at University of Toledo Medical Center is responsible for strategic revenue cycle planning focused on maximizing cash collections, improved efficiency and financial performance with a demonstrated in-depth understanding of the entire hospital and physician revenue cycle from pre-encounter through collections.  Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle is also responsible for championing the development, generation, and presentation of information critical to the ongoing measurements and operation of the revenue cycle.  This position provides direction for best practice implementation using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies among other improvement tools to identify strategies that result in documented qualitative and quantitative improvement in revenue cycle performance and efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    1.       Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, operational analysis, information systems, or related field required.  Master’s degree preferred.

    2.       Minimum 7 years in managing healthcare business functions required.

    3.       Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including, but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel and other related applications.

    4.       Comprehensive Revenue Cycle experience including Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care and Health Information Management required.

    5.       Certification in relevant hospital systems (such as CRCE, CRCP, CHAM, CPHQ, CHC, CMM, CPHRM, CFHP, FACHE, CPHIMS) strongly preferred.

    6.       Comprehensive understanding of coding classification such as ICD10, MS-DRG, APR-DRG strongly preferred.

    7.       Experience with and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma required.

    1.       Extensive knowledge of current healthcare trends, policies and regulations.

    2.       Ability and competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to complex business challenges.

    3.       Possesses strong leadership skills and commitment to team approach.

    4.       Ability to influence key stakeholders at various organizational levels.

    5.       Must be flexible and able to manage multiple high priority demands.

    6.       Must possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills.

    Working Conditions:

    Working conditions are in a professional office environment and will require use of computers with moderate to extensive sitting and moderate lifting of accounting records.
