Provides high-quality customer service to various groups across the campus community; responds to and logs requests and issues accurately and promptly; acts as the first line of investigation and diagnosis of incidents and requests to include troubleshooting printers, networking issues, hardware, various student devices, and related software. Addresses moderate to complex issues and requests as they relate to client technologies; troubleshoots the cause of problems, not just the symptoms, taking action to prevent problems from recurring; resolves issues in the prescribed time limits; otherwise escalates to appropriate level 2 personnel and follows standard operating procedures.

Participates in efforts to continuously improve Level 1 performance in the areas of issue resolution efficiency, data accuracy, escalation accuracy, response times, and customer service; provides coverage for all modes of communication: telephone, chat, e-mail or other methods as necessary; participates in required training for both technical and interpersonal skills.

Shift Specifics: 10 – 20 hours per week; flexible with class schedule.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Minimum Education Required

Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of the background investigation process prior to employment.

Preferred Experience Preferred Education

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.
