Teach applied studio piano lessons covering a variety of styles from classical to contemporary. Additional duties may include accompanying students and performing in faculty ensembles. Other academic teaching assignments may be available depending upon the candidate’s background, interest, and departmental needs.

Education/Experience

A completed master’s degree in piano performance or pedagogy, demonstrated experience as a professional performing pianist in a variety of music genres, outstanding pedagogical abilities and ability to recruit quality piano students to the department are required. Additional desired qualifications include a record of successful teaching at the college/university level and noted professional achievement as a performing artist.
