SELECTION PROCESS: Position will remain open until filled with a priority deadline of June 3, 2019





Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes:

SALARY- Mid 60's/annually



GENERAL SUMMARY

This is a college-wide position and reports to and works with the Director of Budgets and Auxiliary Services on college-wide budget activity to support campus staff in monitoring and managing budgets and actual expenses for general, auxiliary, and plant funds.  This position works closely with the Budget Analyst to provide timely information and assistance.



PRIMARY DUTIES

Support the Director Budgets and Auxiliary Services in the department efforts to:
Lead the college in financial planning and analysis, strategic allocation of resources, and ongoing budget control.
Guide college and campus leadership teams in aligning college resources to the strategic plan.
Provide ongoing analysis and guidance regarding the college’s financial position and its effect on the college’s ability to achieve its mission.
Serve as the primary interface between campus and divisional leadership teams to provide a consistent level of strategic budget management support.
Act as the primary subject matter expert and thought leader in the development of analytic tools that support the college community in their efforts to understand, manage, and track their budgets with a particular emphasis on new and special program analyses.
Supervise and partner with the Budget Analyst to:
Ensure that all campus/center locations are regularly supported with budget related training, education, and/or special analyses.
Manage, and update as necessary, routine processes including but not limited to the development and maintenance of the staffing pattern database and the distribution of monthly and quarterly reporting.
Receive, prepare and respond to, regular requests for information from internal and external stakeholders including annual college-wide budget plans, analyses, and reports.
Develop educational material to train the college community on budget planning, development, tracking, and management.
Travel to campuses as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or closely related field.


PREFERRED EDUCATION

Masters in Business Administration or closely related field.
Required Experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

5-7 years of budget or other closely related experience.
Advanced financial analysis skills;
Excellent communication skills (oral and written); strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills;
Strong organizational and project management skills;
Excellent customer service skills;
Excellent attention to detail skills,
Demonstrated ability to proactively develop solutions and improve processes.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Higher education, Banner, Access database experience.
