Job Summary

The Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Kentucky invites nominations and applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in extractive metallurgy, minerals processing, chemical engineering or a closely related field and must be committed to excellence in the areas research and service.

Responsibilities of the successful applicant will include providing support for existing research programs and the development of new funded research opportunities in the areas of applied extractive metallurgy and minerals processing. The successful candidate will assist faculty in developing and completing test programs in a number of environments including university laboratories, pilot-plants and operating processing facilities. Reporting the research findings to project sponsors and producing peer-reviewed journal publications are additional requirements of the position. The candidate will also participate in the education and training of post doctorates, graduate students and undergraduate students.
