Learning activities include preparing presentations, engaging in dialogues, providing feedback to others, and participating in group activities.

SPC 101: Communication Fundamentals is a 3-credit course that meets for 2.5 hours/week. There are approximately 25 students in each section. The adjunct pay rate is $2800/section. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach.

There are currently multiple SPC 101 sections available on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. The Oral Communication program is looking for an adjunct instructor with ESL teaching experience at the college level to teach one section of the course for international students.

The Oral Communication program provides a course charter with course objectives and learning outcomes, sample syllabi, and the course materials (i.e., course readings) for the class. Successful candidates for this position must be comfortable using open educational resources as part of their instructional approach as this course has been designed with an OER classroom. New adjuncts will join a team of communication instructors.
