Job Details

Description Provide research assistance utilizing print and electronic resources to the Towson University community; provide support to Research and Instruction Librarians in instruction and in other reference services; assist patrons using library technology; and troubleshoot equipment problems in the library’s Learning Commons and classrooms.


QualificationsBachelor’s degree and two years of related experience to include using electronic resources, providing reference assistance to patrons, and troubleshooting problems with computers and printers. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communications skills required. Proficiency in web navigating and using common software programs, and flexibility in a changing technological environment required.

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
